Welcome Class of 2014
On Tuesday, August 17, the faculty and staff welcomed almost 200 members of the Coe-Brown Class of 2014. After an introductory assembly with Headmaster Smith, students got their class scheduled and attended shortened classes. This gave the students the opportunity to learn their way around Coe-Brown and meet their teachers. After a BBQ lunch, the freshmen participated in team-building activities run by Adventurelore.
Sports!
Boys' Varsity Soccer
On Tuesday, August 31, the boys' varsity soccer team defeated St. Thomas 5-0. Goals were scored by Jeremy Stone (2 goals), Doug Marshall (2 goals), and Blake Heyn (1 goal).
Girls' Varsity Soccer
The girls' varsity soccer played on Tuesday, August 31. The team played a quality game and pushed defending champions St. Thomas before falling to the Saints. Alley Savioli made several great saves while Devin Beck, Brittany Derocher, and Becca Ames all played great games for the Bears.
Golf
On August 31, the golf team traveled to Amherst Country Club and squared off against Souhegan, St. Thomas, and Conval. The team evened its record at 3 and 3 by beating St. Thomas and Conval with a team score of 210. Low score for Coe-Brown was 39 by Brayden Dunn.
JV Boys' Soccer
The boys JV team beat St. Thomas 1-0 on Tuesday, August 31.
Girls' JV Soccer
The girls' JV soccer team defeated St. Thomas 3-1 on their field under sweltering conditions. A strong defensive effort, a solid goal keeping effort by Noey Struthers, a free kick goal by Stephanie Zwick , and 2 goals by shannen Ketenci were some of the highlights
Arts and Music!
The Coe-Brown fall play will be presented the weekend of October 29 & 30. This year's production is "Anonymous", a re-telling of the Odyssey.
Clubs & Activities!
The YEA Coffee House will be held on Friday, September 17 from 6:30-9 pm in the Gerrish Gym. Performers wanted!! Admission is $6 for non-performers and $3 for performers.
